All Will Come to Pass

So the LORD gave Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers . . . The LORD gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not man of all their enemies stood against them . . . Not a word failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All come to pass.
Joshua 21:43~45
Seven nation conquered. At least thirty-one kings defeated. Approximately ten thousand square miles of choice property claimed.
     The Hebrew people were unstoppable.
They hadn't always been. The Bible doesn't gloss over the checkered history of God's chosen people. Abraham had too many wives. Jacob told too many lies. Esau sold his birthright. Joseph's brothers sold Joseph. Four centuries of Egyptian boudage were followed of Babylonian detention.
In the schoolroom of ancient  societies, Israel was the kid with the black eye, bullied and beat up.
Except for those seven years. The Glory Days if Israel. The Jordan River opened up. The Jericho walls fell down. The sun stood still, and the kings of Canaan were forced into early retirement. Evil was booted and hope rebooted.
What sweeping statements! "The LORD gave...all land." "The LORD gave them rest" "Not man of all their enemies stood against them." "All came to pass." Winter chill gave away to springtime thaw.

When you are wandering in the wintertime wilderness, remember spring is coming. A new season will be born.

土曜日なので、前文を書きました。
All come to pass
Spring is coming. A new season will be born.
もうすぐ、春ですね。
