Human hurt is not easy on the eyes. Yet there is something fundamentally good about taking time to see a person.
The word compassion is one of the oddest in Scripture. The New Testament Greek lexicon says this word means "to be moved as to one's bowel . . .(for the bowels were thought to be the seat of love and pity)." Compassion, then, is a movement deep within - a kick the gut.
Perhaps that is why we turn away. Why look suffering in the face if we can't make a difference?
Yet what if by seeing, we were moved to compassion? Moved not just to see, but to do.

幼稚園という職場環境は「見ゆるところ」を霊に頼らないでは、一見とんでもなく騒々しくごちゃごちゃとしたところです。
この頃、とてもそう思います。
大人が一生懸命に、整理しよう、整理しようとすればするほどに、そうなってしまうのかもしれません。
教材やおもちゃの話ではありません。
目に見えない大人の必要のことです。
本気で子どもに仕える気がなければ、幼稚園という職場は大人の平安をかき乱し神経をまいらせるだけの場所にすぎないし、決して、大人のニーズが満たされることはない、ということに気づくことが、最初のステップ。
