For God, who said,"Let light shine of darkness,"
made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the
knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this
all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
2 Corinthians 4:6,7
Jesus himself is the treasure. Grace is precious because he is. Grace changes lives because he does. Grace secures us because he will. The gift is Giver. To discover grace is discover God's utter devotion to you, his stubborn resolve to give you a cleansing, healing, purging love that lifts the wounded back to their feet. Does he stand high on a hill and bid you climb out of the valley? No. He bungees down and carries you out. Does he build a bridge and command you to cross it? No. He crosses the bridge and shoulders you over. "You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God"
This is the gift that God gives. A grase that grants us first the power to receive love and then the power to give it. A grace that changes us, shapes us, and leads us to a life that is eternally altered. Do you know this grace? Do you trust this grace? If not, you can. All God wants from us is faith. Put your faith in God.
And grow in God's grace. More verb than noun, more present tense than past tense, grace didn't just happens. Grace happens here.

聖書は開くたびに、新しいことを見せてくれます。
聞かせてくれます。
"Let light shine out of darkness," 「光がやみの中から輝き出よ」と言われた神は、私たちの心を照らし、キリストの御顔にある神の栄光を知る知識を輝かせてくださったのです。
私たちは、この宝を、土の器に入れているのです。
それは、この計り知れない力が神のものであって、私たちから出たものでないことを明らかにされるためです。
「土の器」という賛美の歌があります。
大好きな歌でよく礼拝でも歌っています。
土の器とは、宝をおさめる私自身であったことを、今朝、心から感謝しました。
夕べ、賢人がサンファナンドの教会に冬のバイブルキャンプの奉仕者の集まりに行きました。
雨が降っていたし、途中、フリーウェイがとても古くて狭くて走りにくい箇所があるので、心配したけれど、無事に戻ってきています。
「マウントハーモンで奉仕したい」と言ってきたのは一月ほど前です。
以来、毎朝、欠かさずそのことを祈っています。
ウィンタービジョンの奉仕から帰ってきて、あの子はちょっと変わりました。
奉仕を体験する人から、奉仕する人に生まれ変わろうとしている気がします。
賢人という土の器から神の恵が透けて見えるようです。
この春のセメスターで、ハーバーカレッジで取れる授業は全て終わる予定です。
夏を経て違う学校に編入して行きます。
