But Abram said to the king of Sodom.

'I made Abram rich.'

高貴な精神の高貴な台詞です。
とりあえず、もらえるものはなんでも受けとっておいて、それが本当に自分のものかどうか後で判断しようと考えても、返したためしなど、1度もない気がします。
それが、受けるべきものかどうかは、本当は自分が一番よくわかるのかもしれません。
妻を妹と偽ったのに、妻も自分も守られたアブラハム。
ロトに先に、選ばせてあげたのに、安全な場所を与えられたアブラハム。
そんな中で得た神さまとの信頼関係で、はっきりと「いいえ、いらない」って言えるようになったのかな。
私と神さまとの関係はどうだろう。
